Garden Club of America Wetlands Scholarship
- What: Funding of international, wetland-related graduate research for summer 2019 from one of our partner institutions. These grants are intended to aid student's costs of travel, room and board in the course of field investigation and to help cover costs of expendable materials and supplies required in the execution of the proposed research.

SWS Student Research Grants
- What: Partial funding of wetland-related research conducted by undergraduate and graduate students from an accredited college or university worldwide. These grants are intended to aid student's costs of travel, room and board in the course of field investigation and to help cover costs of expendable materials and supplies required in the execution of the proposed research.

SWS Undergraduate Mentor Program Awards
- What: National Science Foundation-funded opportunities for undergraduate students from underrepresented groups to participate in the SWS Annual Meeting.
- How many: 8-11 students per year
- Deadline: November 13th, 2015
NSF Graduate Research Fellowship
- What: The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees at accredited US institutions.
- Includes: Three years of support, $32,000 annual stipend, $12,000 cost-of-education allowance to the institution, International research and professional development opportunities, XSEDE Supercomputer access

EPA STAR Grants
- What: NCER’s Science to Achieve Results or STAR program funds research grants and graduate fellowships in numerous environmental science and engineering disciplines through a competitive solicitation process and independent peer review. At present, STAR is focusing on the health effects of particulate matter, drinking water, water quality, global change, ecosystem assessment and restoration, human health risk assessment, endocrine disrupting chemicals, pollution prevention and new technologies, children’s health, and socio-economic research.

EPA Wetland Program Development Grants
- What: The Wetland Program Development Grants (WPDGs), initiated in fiscal year (FY) 1990, provide eligible applicants an opportunity to conduct projects that promote the coordination and acceleration of research, investigations, experiments, training, demonstrations, surveys, and studies relating to the causes, effects, extent, prevention, reduction, and elimination of water pollution.

Garden Club of America Wetlands Scholarship
- What: Originating in 1966 through the Rockefeller Fund, Mrs. Edward Elliman dedicated this scholarship in 1999 for the promotion of wetland conservation by supporting young scientists in their research. The award supports graduate-level field-based research in coastal wetlands, and is administered by the Center for Coastal Resources Management, Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) at the College of William and Mary.
